Handbook of Czech conversation entitled Czech For Life – 15 modern conversation topics by Alena Nekovářová was designed by Filip Blažek in 2006 and published by Akropolis publishers in Prague. Its chapters are distinguished not only by colour, but also by the light background of the same colour which significantly improves its navigation. Chapter beginnings are further emphasized with colourful rectangles visible on the book edge, and the colourful, diverse content of the book is also reflected on the spine of the book. The composition of individual spreads is as fluent as possible. For the typesetting, we selected the RePublic family by Tomáš Brousil of the Suitcase Type Foundry, display face is Univers by Adrian Frutiger. Witty, charming illustrations came from the hand of Pavlína Řezníčková; apart from these, the book also features several dozens of photographs. In 2007, the book has received the second prize in the textbook category in the Most Beautiful Czech Book of 2006 contest.
